No reason to be in Afghanistan

Canada must get out of Afghanistan, now. There is no GOOD reason to be there.

BAD reasons for being there are:

  • to kill Afghan citizens
  • to impose a government of our choice
  • to free-up US military personnel to Iraq
  • to keep the country from uniting again
  • to maintain poppy production
  • to prevent regional solutions
Possible good reasons for being there:
Our roll there now is pure hypocrisy. Self-determination of nations, thank you.

  1. I keep hearing about how its to help rebuild afghanistan. Why are our troops there when there is even more violence and bloodshed in African countries?

  2. Their massacring minorities and forcing others to wear identifying badges... according to your own 'reliable' wikipedia source, well, that's perfectly acceptable then?

I'm shocked to hear someone actually endorsing the Taliban.

  3. Sorry you have the wrong information. al queda is no where near neutralized. The majority of 'insurgents' are Pakistani & Saudi's.

  4. Al queda is as neutralized as it can possibly be by a foreign military expeditionary force.

We have no business installing governments, killing Afghans, and raping Afghanistan of resources.

Insurgents and freedom fighters have every right to use violence in kicking us out.

  6. Lets reconstruct native Canadian communities before Afghan villages.

The Taliban actually stopped anarchy after the chaos left by the Russians. They also banned poppy production. NATO has undone all that.

Taliban didn't plan 9-11. OBL did. He's gone now so why are we there?
